Hi, I'm Emil Andronic

UK-based, award-winning astrophotographer specialising in both landscape nightscapes and deep-sky imaging. My work spans from capturing the Milky Way rising above iconic British coastlines to revealing the intricate structures of distant nebulae, supernova remnants, and galaxies millions of light-years away. Whether grounded in the landscape or focused deep into space, my aim is to create images that combine scientific integrity with emotional impact. Deep-space astrophotography forms a significant part of my portfolio. Imaging faint celestial objects requires meticulous polar alignment, precise tracking and guiding, multi-night data acquisition, and rigorous calibration. Final images are often constructed from many hours — sometimes dozens — of carefully captured exposure data, processed to preserve subtle detail, accurate colour balance, and fine structure. My work has been widely published and internationally recognised. Multiple images have been featured on AAPOD2 (Amateur Astronomy Picture of the Day 2), and I have received recognition in the prestigious Astronomy Photographer of the Year competition. My astrophotography has also been published in leading astronomy magazines worldwide, reflecting both technical excellence and artistic vision. Astrophotography demands patience, resilience, and deep respect for the science behind the image. Each photograph represents careful planning, long nights under dark skies, and the extraordinary journey of photons that have travelled across the universe before reaching the sensor. Through my work, I aim to inspire curiosity, encourage appreciation for dark skies, and reveal the beauty and scale of the cosmos in a way that resonates with both astronomers and non-astronomers alike.
